Hey sis! I'm Rhema Joy, a lifestyle and travel blogger but most importantly, an "Overseas wife." Ha. That's right, I said "yes", like many of you, to the most bizarre and unimaginable lifestyle. I quit my job, sold my car and all of my belongings, let go of my apartment lease and have been traveling the world with the love of my life ever since. A big part of my life is my faith and with it comes some of the highest peaks to jump from but I did it and I LOVE IT!

 

It's not always easy for me to balance the beauty and the ugly of this lifestyle. Embracing the growing pains and keeping a tough exterior for my already stressed partner, the balance of needing to know every next step of my life and not knowing anything at all year to year; being a supportive wife and also finding space to be vulnerable is WORK. It's a lot and I'm sure you can relate! Most of us had an entirely different future in mind and boom!...we married professional athletes who shine miles away from everything we've ever known. Lol.

Gratefully, I've met some of the most amazing women who have become like SISTERS overseas. We call them "the other wives,"or WAGS and without them, I'm not sure how I'd survive the dry spells these seasons are bound to have. That's why I'm blogging. I've been fortunate enough to be inspired and encouraged by WAGS on their platforms, TikTok's and social media groups to create my own little space in this unique world. I wanted to create a hub for "Overseas wives" everywhere to connect and share experiences with. From crazy stories to "where to get your hair braided in France", I want to spill it all. 

 

There are so many of you who share my passion for travel, new cultures, and the deep necessity of this sisterhood. You share how tough it is even when you're experiencing the best time of your life! Let's share this journey of living life to the fullest and embracing every moment of it.
